OLD WARDEN  SHUTTLEWORTH FLYING PROMS 2024

31st August - 1st September 2024. The Shuttleworth Flying Proms has been one of the highlights on the Take Flight Aviation events calendar for around fifteen years and three Take Flight Aircraft flew in to the grass strip with more joining by road and even more  joining for the after party!

The pre-show entertainment got underway with the Spitfire Sisters followed by the English Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by a choreographed air display including the Lancaster and Spitfire and an airborne pyrotechnics display. The  fantastic music including many last night of the Prom favorites and aviation themed tunes.

This year we stayed by the river in Bedford, so the party could continue for those not flying and we were joined by local friends to enjoy the delights of the towns nightlife and apparently a Kebab. The following day we had more time to explore the museum and Swiss gardens. We'll be back!
