BST CELEBRATION FLY-OUT31st March 2019. Take Flight wasted no time getting the Fly-Out season started with a celebration of British Summer Time on the day the clocks went forward. Unfortunately the weather wasn't informed and there was poor visibility and low cloud to the South. Not to be out done the intrepid aviators changed plans at the morning meet and six aircraft headed North to Hawarden airport on the Welsh border near Chester, instead of the planned trip to Old Sarum. Whilst watching the Airbus Beluga, team-work delivered mini-buses to take us into the city and a fantastic restaurant with a table to accommodate sixteen people was found at an hours notice on Mothers Day - some task! A delicious Sunday lunch at the Brewery Tap was followed by a boat trip down the River Dee, before we headed for coffee, eventually heading back to the airport for the early evening flight back to Wellesbourne. The last minute change of destination did nothing to detract from an enjoyable fun day out in great company.
