Yes, although we'd like you to be recommended by an existing Take Flight member who may be able to check you out on the club aircraft. If you don't know anyone in the club or are not experienced on type, for your own safety we would ask for a check flight with one of our freelance flying instructors. CAN I JOIN AS A STUDENT PPL? Yes! You can also learn a lot from being around the club when you're not on a flying lesson and you may just get offered to sit in the back on members' flights if they have a spare seat. Once you have you PPL you'll be able to use the club aircraft at discounted rates for weekdays as a full PPL member and benefit from the freedom that Take Flight and a Pilots licence will offer you. CAN YOU OFFER PPL OR ADVANCED INSTRUCTION? Yes. Flying Instruction is £40 per hour for Advanced, Night, IMC in addition to the standard member rates PPL training is paid in addition to the standard student aircraft hire rates. We instruction to suit you weekdays or weekends with one of our team of full and part-time instructors. Where possible you will have one dedicated instructor who will assist you from start to completion of your PPL DO YOU OFFER TRIAL LESSONS OR GIFT VOUCHERS? Yes. Trial lessons with a CAA licensed instructor and trial flying lesson gift vouchers start from just £139 for 30 minutes. £149 for £40 minutes and £179 per hour. Should you continue you can log the time towards your Private Pilots Licence (PPL) HOW DO I PAY? You can pay as you go after your flight or if you buy one of our 5, 10 or 45 hour PPL packages your account will automatically be debited after your flight and you we be able to keep track of your payments as you log the aircraft back into our system. ARE YOU REGISTERED FOR VAT? Yes. Our VAT registration number is 917 0052 54. All our published hire prices and membership subscriptions already include VAT at 20%. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? You can do you practical training over a short or long period, but normally the more intense the course the less hours it will take. The minimum hours required is 45.
