BALEARIC ISLANDS TOUR

​Saturday 11th - Saturday 18th June 2016. Our route from Wellesbourne took in a lunch stop in Deauville where we decided our first night stop would be La Rochelle to avoid weather further down route. On arrival we headed off to the island of Ile de Rae for the evening. The next morning we routed to Perpignan for fuel and lunch before heading to the island of Menorca, with a short diversion for one aircraft to Majorca, to drop off two of the team heading back home commercially. After a night and day to explore the main town and a fun go-karting session at the airport track the team headed to Menoca with a 1000ft AGL VFR approach over the island. We treated ourselves to a day off in Palma where we also took in the two euro tapas trail. Next day we headed off to Ibiza where we hired a luxury 5 bed villa and prepared ourselves a BBQ and some of the crew explored Ibiza town. Reluctantly we started our return trip taking in the French cities of Montpelier and Orleans for night stops before heading off back to EGBW. One aircraft and crew stayed in the South of France for an extended holiday and one of the team liked Ibiza so much they didn't come back. This was one amazing and memorable trip and a fantastic group of people and a week seemed like a month as we crammed so much in!
