Jersey Airshow 2022

7th - 10th September 2022. Sadly the weather put pay to any of our club aircraft from Enstone making the Jersey airshow in 2022. Many of the display acts also had to cancel due to thunderstorms back in the UK. However it was great  to see two of our aviation friends - Rich Goodwin who made it to open the show in his Pitt’s  - and the slightly depleted team of the RAF Red Arrows close the show later that afternoon.

The events of the day however, were overshadowed by the announcement of the death of Her Majesty the Queen later that afternoon. Retrospectively, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows that  had been a staple part of many a royal celebration, seemed like it had been a fitting tribute to have watched on such a sad and momentous day. The true legend of our generation and generations before. 70 years of service is truly extraordinary and inspiring, almost certainly never to be repeated.
