Kitty Hawk BBQ 202226th June 2022. was a blustery day, but that didn’t deter the Take Flight crew from venturing down to the south coast for the inaugural Kittyhawk Aerodrome fly-in and barbecue.
Twelve pilots and passengers made their way down in four aircraft, with the occupants of G-BNVE being lucky enough to get a great view of the Red Arrows displaying at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as they flew past the restricted area. There was an excellent turnout and an upbeat atmosphere at Kittyhawk, and following an occasionally bumpy flight the team were glad of the superb burgers, Lebanese chicken and baklava on offer at the barbecue. After sitting enjoying the sunshine and food for much of the afternoon, it was back to the aircraft and a scenic flight home, routing via the south coast and taking in stunning views of the white cliffs and Brighton along the way. |
