A Weekend in Le Touquet Paris Plage

Another firm favorite on the TFA calendar is the annual Le Touquet pilgrimage. Four aircraft and a dozen crew made the trip this year.

Once clearing customs having our passports stamped and noting how quickly our pages were filling up, the team hired the customary airport bikes and cycled into town to the meeting place arranged in the busy Saturday market. The next stop was a beach bar, where crew snacked on a couple of pizzas and the first round of beers were enjoyed and Mike introduced the team to the magic of the Monaco beer a previous F1 Monte Carlo fly-out tradition! We then checked into our various hotels with most enjoying great sea front views.

Our restaurant and host was extremely entertaining followed on with a few more bars and a couple of the team moving on to an extremely late night. The following day, as has also become part of the TFA tradition, the pilots and their passengers staged the annual mini-golf tournament on the novelty course on the seafront. With conditions for the return flight even better than the day before, one crew transited over London City and Luton Airports on route to Coventry Airport.
