Oaksey Park Sunday Lunch Fly-Out - 2022

3rd April 2022.  The sun came out for the first Take Flight Aviation flyout of 2022, and the destination of choice was a TFA favourite: Oaksey Park Airfield, a delightful grass airfield just south of Kemble. A selection of members new and old made the 20-minute flight in three aircraft, enjoying excellent views along the way thanks to some cracking visibility.

After landing at Oaksey Park, the crew took taxis to a nearby pub, the Bakers Arms in Somerford Keynes, where they enjoyed a superb Sunday roast and caught up after a long winter. After a leisurely lunch, it was a slightly heavier group of pilots who returned to Oaksey Park to enjoy tea and coffee in the airfield’s welcoming clubhouse.

Come late afternoon it was time for the flight back, with the team landing back at Enstone shortly after 5pm. All agreed it had been a great start to the Take Flight Aviation 2022 events calendar, returning home already looking forward to the rest of the year’s flyouts.
