Go-Karting Evening Event.

3rd August 2016. Once again a popular evening fly-out beating our record last year with a total of 31 drivers in addition to a handful of spectators. A total of 10 aircraft including Cessna 152's, PA-28 Piper Archers the Piper Matrix plus 2 Saratogas took the short flight to Leicester Airfield for the Take Flight Endurance Grand Prix at the Stretton Circuit on the airfield. Randomly selected into ten teams we took to the track once again with the usual thrills and spills. On landing back at Wellesbourne airfield just before dark, the after race party headed to Tiddington for a beer and a curry at Aladdins to raise a glass to the winning team "Red Sparrows" The track were impressed with some fast lap times so it looks like this event is going to be a regular on the Take Flight social calendar. Although it was the taking part that counted, some of the teams took an early trip for some afternoon practice sessions or Q1 as they called it.
