Isle of Mull -Glenforsa Fly Out 201529th - 31st August 2015. Our intrepid team set off on the 375 mile trip on a fine Saturday morning for Glenforsa on the beautiful Scottish Isle of Mull. With ever changing TAFS and METARS for our destination we headed for Carlisle Airport to re-check the latest weather and have lunch. Mull, the third largest of the British Isles has a land area of 353 square miles but with a population of less than 3,000. There is fantastic scenery and hill walking with the 3169 feet Ben Moore a few miles from the airfield which is operated by the hotel. There's fantastic views over the grass strip and the Sound of Mull where if you're lucky you can see Sea Eagles, Otters and Seals. The hotel is run by Pilots Alison and Brendan who lent us a mini bus to take the team on a tour of the island taking in Tobermory, Duart Castle and the beautiful beach at Calgary Bay.
