Canne and Monaco Grand-Prix - Fly-out

22nd - 27th May 2015. Two aircraft made the trip to Canne Mandelieu (LFMD) airport which was also our economical hotel base for our trips into Monte Carlo to watch the 2015 Monaco Grand Prix. Having pulled in a little favour our MD arranged a great vantage point and hospitality for the Grand Prix on the boat "Impluse" right in the centre of all the action. The trip of around 650 miles with a loo and fuel stop in Lyon Bron (LFLY) took around four hours in the Malibu Matrix a little longer in the Rockwell Commander which arrived a day later (long story). An error of judgement by the Mercedes team cost Lewis Hamilton the race and handed victory to team mate Nico Rosberg. This is the second year we've attended the race from Take Flight Wellesbourne and judging by the reaction from the 2015 photos we'll have even more takers next year.
