1 WHAT FLYING EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?MYCROFT:
"Very little till I joined Take Flight! I have had a life time terror of flying to the point that I would drive to Val D'Isere whilst my family flew all because I hated going in the air so much. Would you believe six months after joining the club not only do I love flying but I'm flying solo, for me a massive achievement and one that I did not think I could achieve. I even filmed it" 2 WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE AIRCRAFT?MYCROFT:
"My favourite Aircraft has to be the 152's for there simplicity and value for money. G-BPBK is what I first went solo in, so I guess that will always have a special place in my heart - having said that the club Cessna 172 is amazing and the avioinics kit is fantastic. From May 2015 I shall be flying G-OWOW the latest addition to the fleet which I have bought" 3 WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT FLYING?MYCROFT:
" Being able to fly over my farm (only 30 seconds outside the circuit) and check my cattle happily munching the grass. I love the stunning beauty of our glorious countryside, particularly our stately homes and castles which just look incredible from above. Everyone should try it once in their lifetime and I challenge them not to get hooked. I'm also looking forward to getting to Salcombe (Bolt Head) in just over an hour and a half without going near the M5 on a Friday afternoon." 4. WHAT'S THE BEST THING ABOUT TAKE FLIGHT?MYCROFT:
"The club is a credit to Mike. The atmosphere is just right, not too stiff, but plenty of help and encouragment. Tim is a fantastic instructor, cautious in his approach but encouraging at the same time. His instruction has been fantastic and helped me conquer my lifetime fear. I'm incredibly glad that I stopped in the car park that day and came in for a chat." |
