LONDON OXFORD AIRPORT & JOLLY BOATMAN FLY-OUT8th June 2016 Delayed from the previous week our regular first Wednesday night club meeting and fly-out saw seven aircraft and almost thirty people take the short flight down from Wellesbourne to London Oxford. There was our PA-46, 2 x PA-32's and 4 x PA-28s. This was followed by a short canal side walk to the Jolly Boatman for dinner. It was a beautiful evening and the earlier forecast showers had passed by. It was great to have our CFI David Donovan in attendance as a passenger as well as the TFA team with Lucy taking a rest from her jet!. Lovely to see PPL student members Ash, Johnny and Rob coming along for the experience and a couple of club members children (the next generation of pilots) Charlotte, Ben and Hayden. A few members and friends registered last minute but the pub did a fine job dishing out around forty meals and starters in limited time under the close supervision of the well organised Hana with her trusty note-pad. Altogether another great evening.
