PIPER CHEROKEE 140 (HF)
My names Foxtrot. Hotel Foxtrot! If low wing aircraft and value for money is your thing look no further than this little chap. With the original design rectangular wing, often referred to as the “Hershey Bar” because of its resemblance to the convex rectangular chocolate bar, this aircraft is basic but nevertheless a great trainer for someone who wants a little more room than a Cessna 152. This lower power derivative has weight limitations but hence it is more economical on fuel. It might not seem the most glamorous aircraft in the world but it was certainly a magnet for stunt pilots in “Pussy Galores Flying Circus” in the 1964 Bond film Goldfinger!

PIPER CHEROKEE 180 (BG)
Luckily, the modern day generation now define old as "retro" and that's exactly what this baby is! This is the higher powered derivative of the classic 1960’s Cherokee design. With the original push pull throttle and overhead trim wheel that feels like you're about to open the sun roof, this beautifully re-trimmed aircraft was the MD’s first foray into aircraft ownership and he now lets everyone enjoy it. The bigger engine means a higher fuel burn hence a slightly increased hire rate than its less powerful stable mate, but it also means it has a more useful load. This aircraft started life as a Hamble British Airways trainer so has additional roof windows and extra landing/taxi light. If it’s good enough for the world’s favourite airline . . .

PIPER WARRIOR (CY)
The Warrior was a natural progression of design from the Cherokee with its semi tapered wing. The wing span is 2 feet longer that its predecessor. The PA-28 family of aircraft are an all metal single engine aircraft used world-wide for training and personal air transport. The 160 horsepower variant is slightly more economical than its bigger brothers, making it a popular and economical training aircraft. This fine example was the first Take Flight Aviation aircraft acquired in the red and white colour scheme. Re-trimmed in club two tone grey leather matching the rest of the fleet, this aircraft is our most popular PA-28 flying over 500 hours per year. This particular model has sprung ailerons making for very stable flight.

PIPER ARCHER (SP)
The 180 horsepower Archer PA-28 is a classic modern and reliable touring aircraft for private pilots and has been responsible for launching the careers of thousands of pilots all over the world. With slightly more oomph than the lesser horsepower variants the six litre lump has improved load carrying and speed characteristics. The ergonomic cockpit with two tone leather interior, offers pilots and passengers alike a comfortable cabin and comes in the matching livery to its older and younger brothers at Take Flight Aviation. With a 500 nautical mile plus range you’ll probably need to stop for rest before you refuel. The interior is finished in grey leather with the Take Flight logo in red.
PIPER ARCHER (VE)
Another 180 horsepower Archer with a substantial avionics package, once again in the red and white Take Flight Aviation livery with smart two tone leather interior, this aircraft is an ideal distance tourer. With a linked Garmin 530 and 430 avionics package and Mode S transponder the aircraft is ideal for touring and can often be seen flitting across Europe. Favourite destinations have included Paris, Venice and Salzburg and it will get you to Northern France quicker than you can check in and have pushed back from the gate on a commercial flight.

PIPER 6x (CG)
Used around the world for private transportation, air taxi services, bush support and medi-vac flights, the Piper 6x fixed under carriage Saratoga aircraft is a powerful tool and can carry up to six people in comfort. The nine litre engine could hardly be described as economical burning, around a litre of avgas per minute, but when you can get six people to Northern France in a little over an hour from Warwickshire, it becomes a more cost effective solution than you might imagine. This modern and high specification variable pitch propeller aircraft complete with GPS and auto pilot, makes it an ideal tourer for larger groups, families or those who like a bit more room, comfort and speed. The sociable club seating in the ten foot long cabin is relatively quiet thanks to an additional front baggage compartment located between the cockpit and engine and a rear door means passengers can enter and exit the cabin without clambering over the wing. Often found touring the UK, Europe and mixing with the biz jets in Cannes or chasing the Grand Prix action in Monaco - you too can be living the dream!

PIPER WARRIOR (LK)
The Warrior is a popular all metal single engine aircraft used world-wide for training and personal air transport. The 160 horsepower variant is more economical than its bigger "Archer" brothers. Our first ever aircraft owned by Take Flight Aviation was a Warrior and this aircraft in a blue and white paint scheme has been re-trimmed in club two tone grey leather, matching the rest of the fleets interiors. LK has lived at Wellesbourne airfield for many years but it became uneconomic for the former owner, so we were pleased to be able to purchase it, and he remains a club member to enable him to continue enjoying his former pride and joy at a fraction of the cost. The high spec avionics package with Garmin Nav, Com and GPS and Mode S transponder makes it a very popular club tourer.
