OLD WARDEN - SHUTTLEWORTH COLLECTION FLYING PROMS

We returned to Old Warden for the Flying Proms, which is one of the highlights of the season at The Shuttleworth Collection and Take Flight. Last year we were the largest group to fly in for the show but this year we were the only flying visitor because of the wind, although down the runway at Old Warden. The windy weather meant a lot of the vintage aircraft were unable to fly but we managed to drown our sorrows and watch the aircraft that did fly to classical themes. There was the addition this year of some aircraft with pyrotechnics then as night fell we enjoyed all the fun of a truly British Proms, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra plus a closing firework display.
