OLD WARDEN - SHUTTLEWORTH  FLYING PROMS 2017

Saturday 19th August 2017.
We returned once again to Old Warden for the Flying Proms in its 20th year. Three aircraft took the short flight to this stunning airfield near Bedford. There's so much to see and do at Old Warden so we took the opportunity to take a look around the Shuttleworth aircraft collection and Swiss Garden.

We had a picnic in the Take Flight pod which offered us a perfect view of the National Symphony Orchestra who played the best of the Last Night of the Proms tunes, along with lots of aviation related classic themes. With a closing firework display to the sound of Land of Hope and Glory it made for a truly memorable evening, returning to Wellesbourne the following day.
