OLD WARDEN - SHUTTLEWORTH  FLYING PROMS 2018

Saturday 18th August 2018.
We returned once again to Old Warden for the Flying Proms in its 21st year. There's plenty to see and do at Old Warden so we'd recommend a visit to look around the Shuttleworth aircraft collection and Swiss Garden even when the Proms isn't on.The Collection first opened to the public in 1963, and further aircraft and vehicles have been added over the years. Events like the Flying Proms that encompass flying displays and vehicle parades draw crowds from all over the world. 

As always we had a picnic and a few drinks in the Take Flight pod which offered us a perfect view of the National Symphony Orchestra who played the best of the Last Night of the Proms tunes, along with lots of aviation related classic themes. With a closing firework display to the sound of Land of Hope and Glory it made for a truly memorable evening, returning to Wellesbourne the following day.
