Isles of Scilly

14th - 17th October 2016. The Isles of Scilly remain a Take Fight fly-out favourite. The Islands an archipelago off the south western tip of Cornwall are approximately 26 miles from Lands End. Four aircraft made the trip down on Friday afternoon to St Marys the largest of the islands. The airport has two short humped runways which can be challenging on your first visit but worth it for the stunning scenery. We took a boat trip to the stylish privately owned island of Tresco to walk the coast and visit the Abbey Gardens as well popping into the New Inn for a drink. With regular visits to favourites the Mermaid pub and Juliet's Garden as well as great food and accommodation at the Star & Castle Hotel it sure won't be our last visit to the islands.
